My name is NyLoh, and I am the daughter of LrGon, the narrator of Robot Dawn. I do assist my father at times — which he relishes to point out — with his literary duties, but there are also periods where I usurp his authority and deal directly with the author, about which he is less than enthusiastic. I am by profession an elected governmental emissary who negotiates treaties between occupying creatures for land use on our planet Enloxamora and an ambassador representing it in ratifying agreements with the more intelligent entities that occupy its moons.
Also don’t think of me as a daughter the way they are determined in your time. Starbot daughters, as well as sons, are conceived through a process of design, analysis and manufacture undertaken by what you would perceive as a couple of male and female starbots so inclined to propagate their strain. It also involves a “giving of the self” that pushes the limits of the starbot exclusion principle and some find unpleasant and offensive if not down right repulsive. Enough said.
